Cyclone golf camps are designed to teach individual techniques and fundamentals of golf, as well as to emphasize sportsmanship, development of the winning attitude, and above all, to have fun and experience lifelong memories. A full schedule of events is planned for each day and evening.

CAMP FEATURES
• 1:4 Instructor to student ratio with a PGA professional (based on 32 campers)
• Minimum of 9 holes of golf daily
• 1:1 Instructor to student video review
• Swing video and analysis to take home
• Emphasis on fundamentals of golf, mental preparation, tournament preparation, and rules of golf
• Daily contests conducted
• Fun evening activities include bowling, movie night, and more

WHO CAN ATTEND
Boys and girls from age 11 to seniors in high school are eligible. All skill levels are encouraged as instruction is individualized towards participant.
SPECIAL ISU GIFT PACKAGE
All campers will receive a special ISU gift package.
CYCLONE SOUVENIRS
The camp directors will make sure to provide campers an opportunity to purchase authentic Cyclone souvenirs.
FACILITIES
Camps will be held at Veenker Memorial Golf Course, home of Cyclone Golf.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Administrative commitments require that all camp fees be paid in full. Should a camper leave a camp due to injury or illness, the camp fee is nonrefundable. If the application is withdrawn 14 days or more before the start of camp you will receive a full refund less a $100 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued within 14 days prior to the first day of camp.
HOUSING
All resident (overnight) campers are housed, two to a room, in the Maple-Willow-Larch Residence Halls on the Iowa State campus. These rooms will be air-conditioned. Room assignments will be made in advance. If you have a roommate preference, write the name of that person on your registration form in the designated area. Please have your roommate preference, list your name on their registration form.
HEALTH AND INSURANCE
The parent/guardian’s personal or medical insurance policy will be utilized as the primary insurance for the treatment of injuries and hospitalization due to illness or injuries incurred during the sports camps.
IMPORTANT FOR PARENTS
After the camper has registered, a camper packet including directions, a waiver and release form, and check-in information will be sent to each participant. Note: Completed and signed release forms must be on file to participate. No exceptions will be made. A physician’s signature is not required on the medical form if a copy of a recent physical is attached. The physical must be dated within one year of the camp.
MEALS
All meals will be provided for resident campers either at the dorms or at local Ames restaurants. Commuter campers will be provided with lunch and dinner where applicable, but will be responsible for their own breakfast.
CHECK IN/CHECK OUT
Check in for the Golf Camps will be help at the Maple-Willow-Larch commons area at 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Details will be included in the confirmation packet to be emailed (when available) after registration of your camper. Check-out will be held in the same place you checked in at 1:30 p.m. the last day of camp.
WHAT TO BRING
Campers need to bring golf attire for five days of practice, casual clothing for free time, personal articles (be sure to bring sunscreen and bug spray), rain gear, umbrella, and 2 golf gloves. In addition, each camper must furnish his/her own golf clubs, golf shoes (optional) with “soft spikes,” and golf balls for course play-one dozen minimum (good used balls are fine). No motorized carts will be allowed. If possible bring a light carry bag.
CAMP FEES
Camp fees are listed on the registration form and include room and board, all instruction, green fees, using of the driving range swing analysis video and the Iowa State Gift Package. Resident fees include meals and housing. Commuter fees include lunch and dinner where applicable.
